Gallery Update of New Paintings

Just a short note to let you know I have made a gallery update with of a couple of new paintings I have just fininished. Plus there are others gallery updates that I made recently so you might choose to take a look if you haven’t been there in a while. You can view the particulars for each piece in the gallery section of the website.

Alaska

This was a scene I painted from a photograph I took on my Long Ride North to Alaska last summer. One of my favorites for sure. The mountains, low hanging clouds and sprawiling rivers and wetlands typified what I wa expecting Alaska to be.

Summer-Aspens

Who doesn’t love aspen trees. They have so much character and are really fun to paint. I’m fortuante to live so close to some of the best aspen groves there are.

I’m headed to Jackson Hole this weekend to spend next week painting during the Fall Arts Festival. I used to live in Jackson and was in a gallery there for a couple of years. I’ll look them up while I’m there and see if they are still in business. Jackson has always held a special place in my heart. Lots of great painting opportunities and galleries full of wonderful art, not to mention some pretty good eating establishments and a couple of historic bars too.

Jackson is a beautiful place to begin with, in all seasons but the fall can be especially wonderful. I’m really looking forward to spend the week up there painting. I’ll report from there next week and show you paintings as there are done, on location.
