Red Roofed Gazebo in Baldrich Park

Here’s a 9×12 oil painting of the Red Roofed Gazebo I did at the duck pond at Baldrich park in Montrose a couple of Sundays ago. Since I didn’t get any painting done on the Long Ride North I’ve had to get right back into to since we’ve been home.

The above photo is of the painting with the frame and the below photo is just the image without the frame.

Typically when you view paintings on the internet or in print, magazines etc. they are shown without the frame. However, if they are being sold framed, then I think it stands to reason that they be shown with the frame and offered at two different prices, framed and unframed. Let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks.

It’s been a rough recovery from the Long Ride North. Not physically but mentally. Everybody says, “Ah great! You’re back!” Yes, I’m back physically but mentally I’m still gone. That was a special ride and I’ll be thinking of it daily until I can do it again and go back. Thanks again for coming along. Do stay tuned however, as I will be posting some more photos as I get them sorted out. Of course I have hours of video that needs to be reviewed and edited too so I think I’ll be on the ride awhile longer. I’ve been getting caught up back here in the studio but am about to the point where I can get to those photos at least.

Folks have sure been interested in the ride and have marveled at the fact that we did it. I continue to hear stories of others who rode their motorcycle to Alaska and it makes our ride  seem pretty tame. I had an elderly lady in the shop the other day and we got to talking about it. She said that in 1979 she made the trip on her own motorcycle. Amazed, I asked her how old she was at the time and she said that she was 57 years old. She did the ride by herself no less. Said her husband had died a couple of years prior and he had always wanted to do that so she though she she’d do it for him. She bought a Honda Silverwing, learned how to ride it, and headed for Alaska. She couldn’t find anyone to go with her so she left by herself. That was before it was all paved too. She was gone for 2 months. Rode from Dallas, Texas to Anchorage. WOW!
