When I was in North Carolina a couple of years ago my sister Mary took our Mother, myself and my wife Kathy out on a little excursion into the countryside. Down a lonely little traveled dirt road we came across this covered bridge. The brush and trees were thick and here was this little bit of country charm. I knew one day I would do a painting of it.
