Any place in the Colorado High Country can be a good place for trekking. This 20×30 oil painting depicts a solo high country trekker following a trail through some beautiful terrain in Yankee Boy Basin out of Ouray, Colorado. Summers can have dramatic skies and can be very unpredictable with associated weather. Often it doesn’t last long but it can be very dangerous before it clears out. The scenery is breathtaking.
